Urban Tree Canopy Policy in the Comprehensive Plan Update

It’s time to put our bee houses out on the trees and seek some pollination. The dates for briefings and hearings on the proposed Urban Tree Canopy Policy in the County update will be set soon. We will begin a revival of the endorsement letter signed by 32 organizations and resubmit it to the County Council to support the proposed policy without amendments to weaken it. There will be opposition to this policy, and we need our voices represented! Please watch for action alerts on the Urban Tree Canopy Policy in May.
Learn more about this policy and others at the program Building a Livable Snohomish County: Be Informed and Be Involved on Saturday, June 1, 2024, 10 a.m. to noon at the Mt. Baker Room, Everett Transit Station, 3201 Smith Avenue, Everett. WA 98201. Please RSVP.
This will be a great opportunity to learn more about critical issues that will be considered by the Snohomish County Council during their public hearings this year on the 2024 Update to the County’s Comprehensive Plan Update. See more here.
