Our League has agreed to join and work with the LWVWA Statewide Redistricting Reform Task Force. The goal is to reform the Washington State redistricting process before the 2031 redistricting cycle takes place. This will require passing a constitutional amendment.
Together, we will:
- Educate ourselves and other League members about the details of the campaign and related work.
- Build relationships with local organizations who will also support redistricting reform.
- Build relationships with legislators and make them aware of the League’s objective.
- Create local districting events to educate residents and push for needed reforms.
This is a virtual meeting and you will receive the Zoom link via email from Tressa Kentner prior to the meeting or via registration, and if you register, you'll receive a reminder note with the Zoom link a day before the meeting.
